Back in July, Oregon became the first state to sort of “ban” the sale of electronic cigarettes, after
this report was released.
Within days of that report, the state government here in Oregon acted quickly and heroically
to protect us, pulling a couple of products off the shelf.
The local TV and radio news was busy for two days talking about Oregon’s supposed “banning” of electric cigarettes.
This turned out to not be true, and I spoke to the Oregon DOJ about their Ecig decision, but the damage was done, and the industry took a black eye here in Oregon.

The three piece electric cigarette technology is a dying one, but Blu has such a unique product, that I decided to buy, try, and review the Blu e-cig to see what all the fuss was about.
I paid for the unit myself, I used their free shipping, and I was not compensated for this review in any way.
Their starter kits are just $59, complete with two atomizers, two batteries, and five nicotine cartridges.

In a last minute stay of execution, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has vetoed California Senate Bill 400, which among other things, would have made the sale of ALL electronic cigarettes in California illegal to anyone.
In a message regarding the veto to members of the California State Senate he sent the following:
To the Members of the California State Senate:
I am returning Senate Bill 400 without my signature.
While I support restricting access of electronic cigarettes to children under the age of 18, I cannot sign a measure that also declares them a federally regulated drug when the matter is currently being decided through pending litigation.

A woman phoned me from Alabama, because she was looking for a replacement part for her electric cigarette.
It seems that she had bought a brand-new unit from a place called “Tobacco Express” in Florence Alabama. While one of the batteries worked fine the other one was completely dead.
When I asked how long she had owned it, she told me that it was brand-new she just bought it. That’s right, it was brand-new, right out of the box, completely dead.

Oregon has not banned the sale of electronic cigarettes, a.k.a smokeless cigarettes!
At least, that’s my position, and I’m making efforts to clarify that officially.
Based on news stories that appeared on our local television news, and subsequent reprints of an AP article and other news sources all over the web, people are mis-reporting the information.
What does it say?
The way I read the article, only two stores were affected in the entire state, and only one brand of the product.

Two piece technology has become more affordable, and this is a review of the Sensation from Esmoke.
Since they don’t have separate atomizes anymore, this kit is essentially two complete units, bringing the price to about $62.50 each.
Their USB starter kits begin at only $69.99, making it one of the most affordable two piece units available on the market today.

Listen for yourself to the audio file of the FDA’s press conference right here.
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
We found this file while poking around on the FDA site, and in the beginning, they say it’s coming down in a few days… huh? Isn’t it a matter of public record? Well it is now…
If you’ve been reading any of the biased and corrupt media reporting, they make it sound like the FDA has determined that electric cigarettes are just as harmful as regular cigarettes.
